Can't Set Keys

I just downloaded the trial and was playing around trying to learn the software. I was following a video tutorial of how to animate, but I can't set keys. The key icon buttons never light up when I select all of the bones. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure on the right side that you are selected on an animation. If you just created the file, go under "Animations" on the side, there should be one created by default called 'animation' in all lowercase, make sure that's selected before you start to edit.

That was it. In the video example, they created an animation named "temp". However, they were going from a pre-existing one. I deleted the one named "temp" and created a new one called "animation" That seemed to do the trick. Thanks!

Great, I don't believe the name of the animation matters, just as long as you are selected on it before you start to animate. If it was called "temp" it would work, you'd just have to make sure to left click on it so it lights up. Anyway, good luck and have fun with Spine!
