  • Quick way to attach an image to a skin / slot?

Hello,

I'm in the process of attaching several images to new slot / skin placeholders, is there any time-saving trick to attach the image to the correspondent slot?

Images and slots have the same name. What I find time consuming is to find the slot when dragging the image, it takes few seconds at most but when you have to do it for hundreds of images it feels like forever 🙁

What I was hoping for was either a default parent attachment (e.g. same name slot) or a quick filter by name.

Thanks!

You could try filtering the tree to see attachments and slots only, if, as you said, they have the same name, they should be sorted alphabetically, easing a little the process.

did you import JSON from PS, or was that not an option?
Doing so, might speed it up.

Thanks both!

Thanks, yes a bit better this way, I should have been doing this already!

This is an existing model for which I hadn't used a PS JSON but I'll bear that in mind for new models.

We plan on allowing (limited) data import into an existing skeleton. Eg, with this you will be able to use the Photoshop script, mark groups with [slot] so the resulting JSON knows which slots the images go under, then just import the JSON to have all the attachments under the right slots. It may be a couple weeks before this is ready though.
