Hi there,
I'm just getting a longer and longer list of animation for my character, and beyond 40, it starts to be a little messy to my eye. Would it be complicated to add a group/file system to sort animations?
Example: in the Animations window, I would like to be able to create a new File named "Attacks", so I could drag&drop all my attack animation to get them out of the way. That would allow me to stop naming animation so explicitly just so they are sorted together :p

It's been on our list of things to do for a while now and just two days ago, Mario and I had a talk about it.
I'm unable to give you an ETA on when this will be implemented, but it will come at some point. Hopefully sooner than later.

Would also be nice if these worked with the api too. I would suggest prefixing the animation names with the group name. i.e. Attack>kick would be Attack_Kick. Although this might be confusing. (i.e. you would have to call playanimation("Attack_Kick") instead of playanimation("Kick")).

So maybe if you stored them as groups and you would do playanimation(GetAnimationGroup("Attack")[0])and if needs be the user could do more magic withGetAnimationGroup`

@BinaryCats Not sure about renaming animations according to groups, but the GetAnimationGroup() API method you're suggesting would be handy.

@Shiu Nice! There are no rush anyway, just glad if this happens eventually.

As my animation list gets longer, my autistic needs for order gets stronger, so I can't help but wonder how far the feature is from release? 🙂
