Hey all, Taylor from Galvanic Games here. We've been working on The Rust Belt (check out a gameplay gif here - http://gfycat.com/FeistyIllustriousFairyfly) for about three months now, and we are really enjoying Spine in our animation pipeline, it's been adding a lot of visual depth to our top down game.
Currently Spine is our tool for character animations like this salty old dude who we're calling Pappy for right now. Here are his talk, inhale and idle animations -
I've traditionally been an animator for commercials and web animations using After Effects, so Spine took a bit of getting used to, but it didn't take long to get up and running. The only thing I'm really missing right now though is the ability to use expressions on keyframes in After Effects. Is there anything similar in Spine? Particularly for a nice bounce n wiggle ease?
I'll be making another post soon about the skeleton and mesh deformers we're using on our articulated enemies in game.

Thanks for taking a look!
