  • Cropped Images in Photoshop Script

For my usual workflow, exporting PNGs from Photoshop for usage in Spine is extremely elemental. Discovering that Esoteric Software's script does export a JSON with all position values present was a great time saver for me.

But using the script (even the newest version from your repository) results in several layers being cropped.

Most output files are completely messed up, with multiple layers visible or invisible on them, completely empty images or the right layer cut in half.

I cannot reproduce the bug with other machines. I'm on Mac OSX Yosemite.

Maybe you have an idea what causes the problem and how it can be fixed or what workarounds I can apply. Please note that the cropping happens with photoshop documents of all kinds, regardless of their setup (even those I have succesfully exported using the very same script on a different machine), while the "export Layers to Files"-Script from Adobe works fine.

Thank you very much in advance!

Tim Höregott.

What version of Photoshop doesn't work with the script? This is a different version than you used on a different machine where the script worked?

Both machines use the most recent version of a licensed Photoshop CC, but still it works with one but doesn't with the other.

Very strange. There has to be a difference with the configuration of Photoshop CC? Eg, unit preferences or something similar. A developer needs debug the script on a Photoshop that isn't working right. We'll look at getting CC, but if it works for us even that won't help.
