Hi guys!

So I finally animated the character and it looks pretty good, but I need to make it blink and make her hands move and do different things.

After creating the different hands and eyes, how do I switch to it in the animation? Is it just a case of deselect a level and add the other one?

Thanks for all the help

Hi, just drop images you need to slot in edit mode. Inside slot only one image at the some time can be visible. On animate mode you can choose how image will be visible, changed, etc. For keying need press green dot at slot.

good luck!

I still can't make this work.....

I'm animating a character but now I have different hands for her suppose to be doing something. I also have blinks but I though lets say I animated from 1 to 15 and then on 16 I want to switch hands or do a blink. I turn the older hand off so it is not visible and turn on the one I want. I thought that it would switch hands as I play the animation but all it does is once I switch to a different drawing it change everything else before....

What am I doing wrong? I attached the screen image....

All that text and only this part tells me what is going on: "once I switch to a different drawing it change everything else before". That doesn't make sense to me though. Can you explain what the problem is?

Hi Nate!

I figured it out thanks to yours and Soren's "Spine Artist Workshop" video on YouTube. I had to add more images to the slot so it could switch from one arm to the other for it can only display one image at a time in that slot.

I have not animate the eyes and arms yet but I think I got it. The little ninja run video was very helpful and opened up the doors to animate more and more for I thought this was very limited type software but I realize with a bit of work we can animate something that looks really good.

I am a classic 2D animator for almost 30 years and working on a software is a very hard transition but I'm starting to enjoy it. There are still a lot to learn and I'm looking forward to test my animation abilities on Spine.

Cheers

Glad you worked it out! 🙂 FWIW, we are currently writing proper documentation. It isn't complete yet, but may help:
