Uhmmm, let's see.
First i have to say that a "standard" battle team isn't vague. It have a clear melody line, so not so ambient. That's because there is no vaguety in the scene, but mostly Punch and Clear Enemies.

Also, note that i'm not willing to buy a battle music for now, because ain't projects ready for musics, right now. Take this post as a general suggestion for general purpose, and feel free to ignore it if it doesn't fit your style.

Quite a bunch of games uses eletric guitars and stuff like that when you're facing a big enemy.

But i think a good battle is also when no hard rock-metal is involved, like this (quite obvious) example:

What both music shares is a clear sequence of pathos, action but not anxiety. The first one is a lot more energic than the 2th one, but the 2th one have the "Will to challenge youself" more clear.

Well, i hope this could come in handy. I'm sure you knew both musics, but i would not come up with an half-unknow music, when you need to create music for everyones.

You have grown quite the collection of music! A lot of it is really good, I could see it in many kinds of games. In the past I've found it hard to find good, looping battle music, like for an RPG fight or similar. It needs a cool, exciting intro, then a loop that doesn't get obnoxious or annoying too quickly. This isn't a music request just yet, just a note of what I found hard to find when I was looking. If some day I ever find time to work on my game again (low chance of that, thanks Spine!) I'll definitely ping you.
