We are considering introducing a workflow where our team manages image files using subfolders.
Until now, our team has been placing all image files directly under the Images folder, and we already have a large number of .spine files created with this workflow, probably more than 200.
The work we expect to do is something like this:
- Open File Explorer. We use Windows.
- Move image files into subfolders.
- Open Spine.
- Find the attachments whose image paths are now missing.
- Reset their paths.

If there were a feature that allowed us to move image files under the Images node into subfolders while also updating their paths automatically, this process would become much simpler.
The workflow would become:
- Open Spine.
- Move image files into subfolders from within the
Images node.
That said, I understand that adding this feature may not be simple.
It would probably require several additional features, such as the ability to create subfolders under Images, the ability to display empty subfolders under Images, and so on. It may end up being a larger task than it first appears. If pack.json files inside subfolders could also be edited through the Spine Editor GUI, that would be really amazing, but I understand that this may be difficult.
I would like to request consideration for a feature that allows image files under Images to be moved into subfolders directly from the Spine Editor.
