I consider myself somewhat experienced with Spine and Unity but I can't figure out what's happening here. I have this cat character that does a little teleport animation which is basically a little poof effect behind which the character disappears. In Spine, it looks all fine, but not in Unity.
Before, I lazily used a clipping mask to make the character vanish. Basically I turned the clipping mask visible (i.e. keyed the clipping mask attachment) on frame 4. In Unity, the animation played fine, but for one frame, there were some artifacts which looked like a part of the spritesheet (the png) appeared in the shape of the clipping mask.
So I thought okay fine, let's remove the clipping mask, maybe our Unity Project can't handle it for some reason. I deleted the clipping mask from the spine project and instead just hid all attachments so the character would vanish. And okay, the big artifacts disappeared - but there's still a flashing frame that shows SOME part of the spritesheet, and it seems to clip with the shape of the character?? I'm attaching a video to illustrate what's going on...
Any ideas what could be causing this? Would appreciate any directions... 🙂
