  • _start_ playing two animations at the same time?

Hello!

I know you can play two animations on two separate tracks in the Preview View. But is there any way to trigger both animations to begin playing at the same time?

This is because both animations are intended to play at the same time during runtime. . . But because portions of the animation can be swapped out and replaced with other animations. I need to keep them as separate animations/tracks.

Now I want to preview both animations together to make sure they work together, but I can't figure out how to get both animations to play at the same time. Seemingly I would need the reflexes of a cat to trigger the animations at the same time in the Preview View. Is there a better way to do this? Please let me know.

Thanks! : )

To play two animations simultaneously in the Preview view, you can synchronize them by setting the preview speed to 0%, starting both animations, and then increasing the speed back to 100%. This method ensures that both animations begin at the same time without requiring precise manual timing.

    Here are the steps:

    1. Open the Preview view.
    2. Set the preview speed to 0%.
    3. Start both animations on their respective tracks.
    4. Increase the preview speed back to 100% (or click the button to reset it to 100%).

This approach allows you to preview how the animations will work together at runtime without needing to trigger them manually at the same time.

Eidrog Spinebot's answer is correct. Currently, it is not possible to start multiple animations playing at the same time without following this somewhat complicated procedure. We have long wanted to improve the preview view and here is an issue ticket for improvement:
