  • Draw order key not visible in dopesheet

Previously, I could see draworder keys on the dopesheet even if I chose bones or images.
The slot should be selected now, but the draw order key is visible in the dopesheet
This has become very inconvenient.😂

hwadock Sorry for the inconvenience! This issue has been fixed in 4.2.20. (Not released yet).

Still don't see the draw order key when I choose the bone..😅 in 4.2.20

hwadock Ah, sorry, I misunderstood your post. It is the current expected behavior that the draw order keys are not displayed when only bones are selected. This is an intentional change to address the problem that the draw order keys tend to be mis-selected, so the draw order timeline is only displayed when nothing is selected, slot(s) are selected, or the draw order node is selected in the tree view.
The draw order timeline can be kept visible by pressing the lock button in the Dopesheet view with a slot or draw order node selected.

Could you tell us when you actually have a problem with the draw order timeline not being displayed when you select a bone? We would love to hear your opinion.

I usually choose bones and do animation
It is inconvenient to check when the drawing order will change because the drawing order is not visible.

If I make all the keys (shift+ctrl+L), the draw order key should also be created, but it is inconvenient because it is not created at this time. 🙂

We hoped to reduce clutter for timelines that are always visible, but I can see it's inconvenient. We'll go back to always showing draw order in 4.2.21.

Thank you so much!! : 🙂

Nate Oh no! Please Q.Q the draw order is always in the way!
You can CTRL+SHIFT+L after pressing the spacebar or also adding a slot to your selection.
But if we revert, those pesky Draw order keys keep multiplying and getting in the way all the time >.<

You are both right! It can be annoying to have it shown all the time, and it can be annoying to have it hidden when you do want it. The compromise: 4.2.21 adds a visibility dot for draw order (and events). When unchecked, the draw order timeline is only shown when a slot is selected.

Erika Isn't it convenient to work while checking the drawing order? (I think it would be understandable if it was focused on work with less change in drawing order.)
If you think the draw order key is generated unnecessarily, why not remove the draw order from the filter?
I think making all the keys means including draw order(CTRL+SHIFT+L)

When draw order keys are always there, they are easily moved or keyed accidentally.

The filter is an option, but using it to hide draw order or events then makes it slightly harder to use the filter for other things.

We have a number of "global" timelines now that aren't associated with a specific bone: draw order, events, and physics global inertia, strength, damping, mass, wind, gravity, mix, and reset all. Showing them all the time (if they have keys) adds clutter to the dopesheet. For physics we only show them if a physics bone or constraint is selected. Now for draw order and events we have the same option, but only if you turn off visibility for the draw order and event nodes in the tree.

          fantastic!
