  • Front foot IK issue not being straight

Hey guys,

We are currently trying to get the character to walk on stairs in game. We have set up IK's for both legs and we use the SkeletonUtilityGroundConstraint in unity. We currently have it working. But the front foot IK seems to rotate which is making the stairs walk for this character look awkward. The back foot does not rotate as shown in the video. Could you help us understand why this is happening. : )

sid I can't tell for sure from that video alone because I can't see the bone hierarchy and properties of the IK constraint, but it looks like the IK is simply not being applied due to Mix being set to 0, or other reasons. The reason why I guess so is that the center of the bone does not appear to be transparent. When the constraint is applied, the bone looks as if the center is hollowed out. However, the bone is too short and thin to be clearly visible. Could you please show me the bone hierarchy and IK settings?

sid The issue with th front foot IK is that your IK target is far away from the tip of your second constrained bone.
I recommend adjusting the lenght so that the second constrained bone touches the target to avoid such issues.

    Hey guys,
