  • Overwriting .skel file in Godot does not update the asset

Godot version: Godot 4.1.1 with C# support, found here: https://esotericsoftware.com/spine-godot
Spine version: 4.1.23 Professional
OS: Windows 11

As the title says, overwriting the .skel file in a Godot project does not update the asset. That is, the basic workflow described here does not automatically update the .skel file in Godot as stated:

I also tried manually doing a reimport on the file in Godot, but no luck. The only way to get the .skel file to update (with a new animation for example) is to reload the project, which is far from an ideal workflow.

hidingspot Does it work in Godot 4 without C# support version?

    I don't know, that's not the version I'm using.

hidingspot Sorry for the trouble! I have confirmed it can be reproduced on my end and created an issue ticket for this: EsotericSoftware/spine-runtimes2387
