Hello, so I'm using spine 3.7.94 in two machines.

Machine 1, I can select Bitmap font + Large size font.
But not in Machine 2. As soon I pick Large the font change to Unicode and after saving and restart spine the old settings returns, Bitmap and medium size font.

Any idea why is this happening? Is there a way to change this via notepad or something like that.

I'm using same screen in both machines.
I don't want to interface scale.

3.7.94 is very old, but IIRC make sure interface scale is 100 and the language is not Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. Then as long as the font size is Medium or Large, it should be possible to choose Bitmap.

You can change it in the settings file, though Spine may do the same checks as the UI does and disallow it. The settings file for 3.7 is at:

Windows: <user home folder>\Spine\prefs.json
Mac: <user home folder>/Library/Application Support/Spine/prefs.json
Linux: <user home folder>/.spine/prefs.json

You should see font (set to "Bitmap"), fontSize (set to 13 or 15), uiScale (set to 1), and language (set to English, for example). You could also copy the prefs.json from the computer where fonts are working like you want.

Hey thanks ,but the font config is not in the "prefs.json" but it is in the "start-1.json" inside of the folder settings. But changing the values doesn't work.

I have tried to copy and paste the file "prefs.json" from the other computer but spine does rewrite the configs while opening.

Changing the values on the file "start-1.json" doesn't affect I have scaled the font to 15 and no changes.

I know 3.7.94 is old but it needs to be this version.

Changing prefs.json as I mentioned above is correct for 3.7. The font config for 4.0 is in settings/start-1.json. Changing that will not affect editor versions < 4.0.

We saw a crash when editing the font size to 20. We've fixed being able to set font sizes for 4.0 other than what the editor UI allows in launcher 4.0.49 and editor 4.0.26 (not yet released).

Spine reads the prefs.json and rewrites it. If it's resetting your values then it must think they are not valid.

I gave it a try and it appears 3.7 does not allow use of the bitmap font with the large font size. I assume you must be mistaken that one computer can do it, because 3.7 does not contain the large font as bitmaps. We added that in a later version, sorry!
