"New" negates verticles movement
after entering the mesh editor and have pressed the new mesh button
create some points after the edge where you want them
create 2 points in the middle where they shouldn't be
drag and drop the 2 points to where they should be instead
continue making points and finalize by clicking the first point
bam .. the 2 moved points are now back where you moved them away from.
Hmm, you're right, that isn't good. It happens because in New
mode you are setting UVs, so when you move the 2 points it changes only the UVs, not the mesh vertices. You can see the UVs are correct if you uncheck Deformed
. We'll get it fixed though!
It has been fixed in 3.8.33-beta!
