It's actually not out yet. Currently in 2018.1 beta. Once it ships, we'll check it out.
As they mentioned, Wulverblade's solution is highly specialized and wouldn't be safely suited for all setups, especially the thread pool part.
But we fully expect to try to take advantage of it as generically as possible.
If we can't find a general solution easily usable for everyone, we will at least adjust the relevant APIs so that people who try to roll their own solution specific to their game's architecture won't have too much trouble.
