initiationthegame Hi guys, My question is pretty simple. I have a climb animation and I'm trying to find a way to teleport the player to the root bone at the end of the animation. Here's a link to see my problem You can see there that my character is waiting for the end of the animation before being teleported at the end of the climb. I tried a lot of different techniques but he's always blinking. it seems like I can't teleport this guy at the exact moment betweens animations.
RemDust What you're looking for is called "Root Motion", I haven't used it yet but I think the spine runtime includes a root motion solution for a while now 🙂

For what I understand, he's trying to "move the player root" to the point he's supposed to reach at the end of the animation so he can conveniently animate the root bone in his climbing animation and "reset" positon at the end so the player can go to idle (or walk/whatever) at the correct position. If I understand correctly, it is definitely root motion discussion here ! 😉 ( but I might just need a cup of coffee and be totally wrong ^^ :coffee: )
