Sorry, was a poor attempt at some good natured fun. :smirk: I am the co-author of libgdx, so of course I can't help but be biased. libgdx has many advantages: a larger and more active community, better performance, runs on more platforms, etc.
If you are still set on AndEngine, you can use the libgdx runtime as a base, you just need to change how rendering works.
